History of Astrology

The Babylonians are credited with the beginnings of Astrology. Their astrological charts helped them predict certain trends in the seasons as well as celestial events, and astronomical phenomenons. They could predict the cyclical phases of the the Moon, solar, and lunar eclipses, transits and occultations, planetary oppositions and conjunctions, and more. Back 2,000 years ago Astrology and Astronomy were the same science.

Babylonian Astrology was soon introduced to the Greeks early in the 4th century B.C. and, through the studies of great scholars such as Plato, Aristotle, and others, astrology came to be highly regarded as a science. It was eventually embraced by the Romans and Arabs. The Roman Zodiacal signs are still used today. Astrology soon spread throughout the entire world.

Astrology was later designed to bring a sense of order out of apparent chaos, it was utilized to predict weather patterns such as natural disasters and agricultural purposes. It was broadened to predict many human affairs such as war and even used to as a form of counsel for kings, emperors, and in time us.

Horoscopes Coming To Be

Using your horoscope chart the relative position of the Sun, Moon, Planets, and stars at a specific time and place of your birth (numerology). Astrologers measure it as “sidereal” time, meaning time reckoned from the motion of the earth (or a planet) relative to the distant stars (rather than with respect to the Sun).

Proper interpretation of the chart is both an art and a science. When done properly, it reveals personality insights, sign compatibility, current trends, and more. Horoscopes should only be entrusted to a highly trained and accredited Astrologer.
